Media Training Masterclass Webinar: May 19‏

May 19 IBMA Webinar, “Media Training Masterclass – Making the Media Work for You” REGISTER BY CALLING 615-256-3222

Publicity is an essential tool in promoting an artist’s career, a new product or an event. But once you are in front of the microphone, are you prepared to deliver your message in a concise, engaging manner? Are you ready to take full advantage of every media opportunity that comes your way?
Plan now to participate in IBMA’s May 19 webinar at 6 p.m. Central, “Media Training Masterclass—Making the Media Work for You,” led by the team at the Nashville-based publicity team, Media Maverick, LLC: Vernell Hackett and John Montgomery.
Whether you are an artist, a manager, a record label or independent publicist, an event producer, an association leader who produces events—or even a broadcaster, from the other side of the interview desk—you’ll take away valuable and practical advice from this session.
The fee is $40 for IBMA members or $50 for non-members. IBMA members are welcome to submit ideas for future webinars to nancyc@ibma.org. ALSO, if you have an area of expertise you would like to share at an IBMA webinar, please let us know that, too.

IBMA member Lisa Jacobi had this to say about the April 2011 webinar, “Closing the Deal: Sales,” presented by Mary Sue Twohy with WAMU’s BluegrassCountry.org: “Super! I came away with some new tips and great reminders of skills I had let fall by the wayside. Another motivational session from IBMA.”
Upcoming Webinars—

Please keep an eye on this publication and www.ibma.org for upcoming IBMA webinars you may want to attend.

2011 Coleman Station Bluegrass Festival Details Announced

A message from the Custer Family:

Howdy everyone,

It's hard to believe it's May and the outdoor festival season is about
to get into full swing. With most folks starting to make summer plans, we
want to take a moment to remind everyone about our July festival.

We are lucky to have several fine bluegrass events within a
short radius of our locale and we hope everyone takes advantage of the
opportunities to attend all of these
events.

Here at the Coleman Station Bluegrass Festival we have another great
event planned for this year. Once again on
our stage, we'll feature some of the finest bands anywhere playing
bluegrass music.

This year's lineup includes: (back by popular demand!) Nothin' Fancy
along with Blue Shades, Paul Adkins Band, Appalachia, Big Country
Bluegrass (from RFD-TV), Allegheny Drifters, No One You Know and your
host band, Mountain Therapy. And as always, we'll
present some of the 'young stars of tomorrow' with the Custer Family &
Friends.

Concessions and vendors will be on site.
Saturday there will be planned children's activities.
There is always plenty of FREE parking.
For your convenience the golf cart shuttles will again be running.
Should you feel it necessary, they will pick you up at your vehicle or
camper and drop you off right at the concert area. All you have to do
is ask. How's that for service!

Free WiFi throughout the festival grounds and the entire stage show is
broadcast via FM radio. (so you never have to miss a minute of music)
CSBF is near the top of the tech savvy festival list!

Our web site has been updated with complete festival details. While
there you can print off a flyer or brochure and give it to your friends
and you can take a virtual tour of past festivals through our photo
pages. On the internet we are located at:
www.blue-grass.org/festival

And now for the BEST news... for the third year in a row, ticket prices
remain the same!
With today's economy we know how hard it is to make ends meet so we are
doing our part to keep this a 'family affordable' festival.

Advance tickets are now available and you'll save even more money if
your order is
processed by July 11th. We have several ways to order tickets,
including a secure, online ticket ordering
process. Remember, children 12 and under are admitted
FREE with a paying adult and there's FREE rough camping with a
weekend ticket. Visit our web site for ticket orders and additional
information.

A BIG thanks to all who have attended our festival, supported our
efforts and voiced your opinions. We are humbled by your positive
comments and we listen carefully to your constructive suggestions.
Please help us spread the word... YOU are our greatest ambassadors.

We look forward to meeting you in July. We hope you'll make plans to
come out to our beautiful wooded, shaded, natural amphitheater setting
and enjoy another Coleman Station Bluegrass Festival on July 22nd & 23rd.

You can also visit our online newsletter at:

Sincerely,
Tim & Brenda and
