Nashville TN: (12.10.08) Rural Rhythm recording artist, Cody Shuler & Pine Mountain Railroad debuted at #3 on BILLBOARD’s™ Top 50 Bluegrass Chart four months ago with their current album, “Pickin’, Praisin’ & Singin’ - Hymns from the Mountain” and have remained on the chart ever since. The CD also held the #4 spot on Bluegrass Music Profiles Magazine’s Top 10 Bluegrass Album Chart and #17 on Cashbox Magazine’s Top 25 Bluegrass Album Chart for November. It is no wonder the album has taken off with 5 different tracks appearing on numerous November song charts including: TWO songs on Bluegrass Now Magazine’s Gospel Truth’s Chart (#9, "The Gospel Ship" and #13, "I Bowed on My Knees and Cried Holy"); TWO songs on Powergrass Radio's Top 10 (#5, "Run On" and #7, "Blood Bought My Freedom"); and the first single release from the CD, "My Eyes Shall Be On Canaan’s Land” at #28 on Bluegrass Music Profiles Top 30 Songs Chart.

Rural Rhythm Records released the second radio single, “Run On” on the label’s "Fresh Cuts and Key Tracks” Radio Sampler last week. The band recently made a guest appearance with WNCW Radio Host, Dennis Jones who said, 'As soon as we started playing My Eyes Shall Be on Canaan's Land, our phones started lighting up like crazy. That is one of the most-requested songs of the year on WNCW - in fact the whole album is absolutely a wonderful recording; the great harmonies, the picking, the arrangements, everything about it - just outta sight."

Cody Shuler & Pine Mountain Railroad is comprised of Cody Shuler, Bill McBee, Matt Flake, Jerry Cole and Dale Perry.

!!CHANGE- Traditional Ties, 12/07 - CHANGE!!

Do to an apparent mailing problem, the show for 12/7 never arrived at the WYEP studio. The substitute show is from 9/14, which never aired do to a power outage caused the aftermath of hurricane Ike. This show features the then new CDs from Cherryholmes and Pine Mountain Railroad.

The new adds announced for 12/7 will be introduced beginning 1/11/09, after holiday and year end specials are over.

Dale Perry Joins Pine Mountain Railroad

We've had so many calls and emails for confirmation of the following information that we've decided to make this announcement for the record.
Cody Shuler was pleased to announce, effective with our October 18, 2008 shows at the Eaglesnest Auditorium for the 2d Annual Raymond Fairchild Mtn. Music Celebration, that Dale Perry had come on board as the newest member of Cody Shuler & Pine Mountain Railroad.

Dale will be picking the five-string. Dale will be joining the band's outstanding harmony vocals, something for which Cody Shuler & Pine Mountain Railroad's last two albums, Alone With Forever ( 2007) and, one of Billboard's current top albums this fall, Pickin, Praisin & Singin - Hymns from the Mountain (Rural Rhythm Records, 2008) have earned wide critical acclaim.
