New Webinar Offered for Broadcasters!‏

Broadcasters are invited to participate in the "Attracting and Keeping Sponsors and Underwriters" webinar, to be hosted by IBMA on Wednesday, January 19, 2011, from 4-5:30 p.m. Central Time, with Joe Mullins of WBZI (Xenia, Ohio) as our presenter.

Call 888-438-4262, 615-246-3222 or email nancyc@ibma  to register!

Here's the course description: Join renowned bluegrass/classic country broadcaster and band leader Joe Mullins for a webinar for radio broadcasters interested in developing increased financial support for their shows. We’ll discuss how to target the best sponsors for bluegrass programming, how to pitch a deal to them, and how to design the perfect commercial for their business that guarantees results. Joe’s experience is in commercial radio, but members from the public, community, internet and syndicated radio worlds will also find useful information for attracting more underwriters for their programs.

Participants at IBMA webinars click a link on their computer screens to enter the virtual classroom and then dial into a conference call number or access audio through a computer headset. Questions will be taken throughout the training in a Q&A box located in the corner of each participant’s computer screen.

The fee is $40 for IBMA members or $50 for non-members. IBMA members are welcome to submit ideas for future webinars to nancyc@ibma.org.

IBMA member Lisa Jacobi had this to say about IBMA’s “Creating Strategic Alliances on Facebook" webinar presented November 15, 2010: “Last night [after the online session] I told my husband, Joe, that the first IBMA webinar was the best $40 I've ever spent, for the clear and directed information, and for the new friends I have made in the music industry.”

We hope to hear from several of you soon! There are only 25 spots open for this virtual workshop.
