At today's Special Awards Luncheon at the IBMA conference, Distinguished Achievement Awards were presented. The recipients were, Hylo Brown, Pati Crooker, Jody Rainwater, Dick Spottswood and Joe Wilson.
Several awards were presented that are the result of committee action, and were not part of the general membership voting.
The awards and winners are:
Bluegrass Event of the Year - Grey Fox Bluegrass Festival
Bluegrass Broadcaster of the Year - Katy Daly, WAMU DD and BluegrassCountry.org
Print Media Person of the Year - Roger Siminoff, Siminoff's Luthiers Glossary, Banjo Newsletter, and Bluegrass Breakdown.

Best Graphic Design for a Recorded Project - G Carr and Sally Ratts, designers, and Steve Martin, artist, The Crow.
