Nashville, Tenn. — The Del McCoury Band heads to St. Louis this week for a return engagement on the popular "A Prairie Home Companion" radio program to promote Del's 50 Year Celebration Box Set and companion CD "By Request". Heard by more than four million listeners each week on some 580 public radio stations and abroad on America One and the Armed Forces Networks, the appearance will be broadcast live from the Fox Theatre in St. Louis, MO at 6:00 p.m. Eastern on Saturday, May 30, 2009.
This appearance falls between Del wrapping up his own festival, Delfest over Memorial Day weekend, and an engagement at Bonnaroo on June 13th. Del and band are hitting the road hard this summer performing at many of the major music festivals in celebration of his 50 years in the business.
