We are pleased to host a professional development webinar presented by New York-based publicist and author, Ariel Hyatt, at 6-7 p.m. Central Time on Monday, December 13, 2010
Musician’s Social Media Masterclass, based on Hyatt’s book Music Success in Nine Weeks, is a guide for musicians to define their brand, grow their fan base, earn more income and achieve success in the digital environment, whether they are new to the industry or longtime artists. Music Success in Nine Weeks provides the missing manual for musicians trying to make sense of the social media revolution and explains step-by-step how to create a profitable and sustainable business from their music. Structured like a workbook with room for exercises and notes, the book takes all of the guesswork out of where to start and how to achieve success as a musician in today’s world.
Members of the artist promotional team—managers, PR consultants, record label publicists, booking agents and more—will also be interested in the content of this webinar, as it relates to the artists and music they are promoting. Merchandisers and luthiers who work with a roster of endorsed artists and event producers who promote their concerts and festivals in conjunction with the bands who perform at them will also find useful social networking tips and strategies outlined in Hyatt’s training.
Participants at IBMA webinars click a link on their computer screens to enter the virtual classroom and then dial into a conference call number or access audio through a computer headset. Questions will be taken throughout the training in a Q&A box located in the corner of each participant’s computer screen.
Hyatt presented an immensely well-received workshop on this topic on September 27 during IBMA’s 2010 Business Conference and also at the 2010 Leadership Bluegrass Masterclass held Sept. 26, in Nashville. She’s returning by popular demand for more interaction with IBMA members.
To register, call 615-256-3222 or 888-GET-IBMA. The fee is $40 for IBMA members or $50 for non-members. IBMA members are welcome to submit ideas for future webinars to nancyc@ibma.org.
IBMA member Lisa Jacobi had this to say about IBMA’s November 15 webinar, “Creating Strategic Alliances on Facebook,” presented by Henri Deschamps and Matt Munsey: “Last night [after the online session] I told my husband, Joe, that the first IBMA webinar was the best $40 I've ever spent, for the clear and directed information, and for the new friends I have made in the music industry.”
