To celebrate the season and their new Hymns From The Hills CD, Joe Mullins & The Radio Ramblers have scheduled a weekend of concerts, December 4th, 5th & 6th, and are also hoping to help those in need during the holidays.
The band is asking everyone to bring a non-perishable food donation to each of these concerts and in doing so, The Ramblers hope to gather a truckload of food to assist those less fortunate this holiday season. The concerts are as scheduled:

Saturday, December 4 - Clifton, OH - Joe Mullins and the Radio Ramblers perform at the Clifton Opera House, 5 South Clay Street. Showtime 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $10 at the door. The Friday and Sunday church services are free of any admission other than the food donation, and the Saturday evening concert is only $10 at the door.
The church in Franklin, Ohio, is the home church of Adam McIntosh and his family. Adam is the band’s guitar player, a great vocalist and songwriter. The Springfield, Ohio, church is where Joe Mullins and his family have been active for many years.
Joe Mullins is a southwestern Ohio native who has been a recognizable banjo player, vocalist and radio broadcaster for 25 years. Mullins toured and recorded as a founding member of the band the Traditional Grass until 1995, when he purchased WBZI Radio in Xenia, Ohio. Mullins recorded and performed with the band Longview, earning Song of the Year and Recorded Event of the Year awards from the International Bluegrass Music Association in the late 1990’s. Joe Mullins & The Radio Ramblers formed in 2006 and have been widely accepted the past few years, performing extensively in the US and Canada. The band’s personnel has not changed since they organized and includes Joe Mullins; banjo and vocals, Adam McIntosh; guitar and vocals, Mike Terry; mandolin and vocals, Evan McGregor; fiddle and vocals and Tim Kidd; bass.
Joe Mullins & The Radio Ramblers offer an entertaining and educational mix of quality bluegrass and gospel music. A professional yet relaxed and engaging presentation from the group features innovative banjo, fiddle, mandolin and guitar work, a good variety of vocal arrangements including a capella quartets and tasteful, down-home humor. Joe Mullins' family history has helped shape his ability to offer an authentic bluegrass and Appalachian music experience to his listeners. His father, Paul Mullins, was an accomplished fiddler and bluegrass broadcaster who received an Ohio Heritage Fellowship in 2007 before his passing in 2008. Joe has presented bluegrass entertainment on hundreds of national stages (Merlefest, Telluride, the Smithsonian Festival of American Folklife, etc.) and at dozens of Ohio events recently with the Radio Ramblers.
To date, the band has recorded two CDs for Rebel Records. Rambler's Call was released earlier this year and the band's all -gospel project, Hymns From The Hills will be released February 1, 2011. Sirius XM will feature a World Premier of Hymns From The Hills during a "Track By Track" special that will air on Wednesday, December 29th at 11:00am EST with repeat performances on December 30th at 9:00pm EST, January 1st at 8:00am EST and January 2nd at 11:00am EST. The "Track By Track" special will include an interview with the band conducted by Kyle Cantrell and tracks from the CD in its entirety.
