Rural Rhythm Records, New Catalog

Rural Rhythm, founded in 1955 by Uncle Jim O'Neal was known for a generation for it's great LP issues, Don Reno, Red Smiley, Kentucky Colonels, Clarence White, Mac Martin, Vasser Clements, Bill Harrell, Hylo Brown, J E Mainer, and many others were, and still are, in their catalog.
Remember all those two minute songs, so that 20 selections were on each LP.

For years Rural Rhythm seemed content to reissue various combinations of these artists.

But under the leadership of three generations of the Passamano family Rural Rhythm has again become a leading label presenting today's bluegrass. Recent releases by Jim Van Cleve, Randy Kohrs, Dewight Mccall, Carrie Hassler, Lonesome River Band, Pine Mountain Railroad, and more, have made them a leader in both quality and quantity.

Both Uncle Jim's classics and Rural Rhythm's current material are worth a look.
