Barry Scott & Second Get Grammy Gospel Nomination

BARRY SCOTT & SECOND WIND EARN GRAMMY® NOMINATION IN BEST SOUTHERN, COUNTRY OR BLUEGRASS GOSPEL ALBUM CATEGORY FOR IN GOD'S TIME

CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA (December 4, 2009)--Rebel Records of Virginia is proud to announce that In God's Time, the debut release from Barry Scott & Second Wind, is one of five albums nominated this year for a Grammy® award in the Best Southern, Country or Bluegrass Gospel Album category.
Scott, a veteran of the gospel music field who spent over seven years as a member of Doyle Lawson's Quicksilver group, produced the 14-song collection with an impressive band that includes Travis Houck on Dobro, Jason Leek on bass, Matthew Munsey on mandolin and Zane Petty on banjo. Adding to the exquisite vocal and instrumental arrangements were guest appearances by Vince Gill (vocals and guitar), Kenny Smith (guitar), Aaron Till (fiddles) and Ronald Inscore (mandolin).
"I'm shocked," said Scott when informed of the nomination. "I couldn't believe that we had been nominated for our debut album! We are very grateful to all those who voted for us and want to say that we owe everything to our Lord Jesus Christ. He has kept his hand on our little group since it started, and every blessing He gives us we want to give right back to him. We also want to thank Dave and Mark Freeman of Rebel Records for giving us an opportunity to play the music we love. They have been a great help and asset to this band."
The album (Rebel 1826) is distributed by Alternative Distribution Alliance (ADA) based in New York City.
