Sarsgaard is a longtime fan of Monroe and will play the lead role. He approached script writer Callie Khouri (Thelma and Louise) about helping to rewrite the first draft of the script. Here's hoping they right a realistic story of Mr. Monroe and not a sugarcoated fairytale. Real life is much more interesting than a glossed over version of the truth that tries to please everyone. I'm hoping that frank honesty wins out but I'm not hopeful.
