Doyle Lawson on Mountain Stage





Charleston, WV - Popular, multi-award winning musical group, Doyle Lawson & Quicksilver will be the featured artist on this weekend’s Mountain Stage program. The highly successful radio program, with host Larry Groce, airs in more than 120 cities throughout the United States, via National Public Radio and the Public Broadcasting System.
This weekend’s episode, airing July 17-19, will feature songs from the popular group’s performance on Mountain Stage at the Chuck Mathena Center in Princeton, WV, in June. In May, Lawson celebrated 30 years of recording with Quicksilver with his 34th release, entitled Lonely Street, on the Rounder Records label. Lawson has received numerous awards throughout his illustrious career. He was the recipient of the National Endowment for the Arts’ National Heritage Fellowship, the Endowment’s highest honor granted to traditional and folk artists for career accomplishments. Doyle and his band Quicksilver have also received the International Bluegrass Music Award for Best Vocal Group an unprecedented seven years in a row.
Lawson’s current Gospel radio release from Crossroads Entertainment, “I Won’t Have To Worry Anymore,” is currently playing at Southern Gospel radio stations nationwide, recently becoming the group’s latest Top 40 hit.
