Lorraine Jordan & Carolina Road - A very gracious good deed‏

Passing on this post from Karen Artis:

Yesterday, our band played our 5th year at Bluegrass in the Hills Festival at Mickey's Mountain, where Lorraine Jordan and Carolina Road made their 4th appearance. When Lorraine learned that Nancy Mickey, promoter Calvin's wife, was in a nearby hospital being treated for a stroke she had suffered earlier this summer, Lorraine did a truly fine thing. After her band played their afternoon set, they went to the hospital to play for Nancy, and even did a second performance for other patients on another floor - then drove back to the festival grounds to do their evening set.Just another great example of how the bluegrass family looks out for each other. Special thanks to Lorraine and her band for such kindness, and a request for all to please keep Nancy in your thoughts and prayers during her recovery.
