Chris Sexton Recital

If fans of Nothin' Fancy are interested in hearing their classically- trained fiddler play more classical music, they now have a chance to hear him do so! Chris Sexton will be presenting a graduate recital on Friday, November 20, 2009 at Shenandoah University's Armstrong Concert Hall at 8:30 PM. The program will include Paganini's Moto Perpetuo, Beethoven's Violin Sonata No. 8 in G major, and Bach's Unaccompanied Partita No. 2 in D minor. He will be accompanied by pianist and notable SU professor Dr. Karen Keating. Chris and Dr. Keating will also be making an appearance together on Sunday, October 25 at SU's Bach-Handel Festival. Chris and a small ensemble will accompany the Shenandoah Chorus in a performance of one of Bach's motets with Dr. Keating conducting.
